To start any Migration from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 , the first step is to specify Source Hierarchy or the Source Primary Site from which the data needs to be migrated . Once you have specified the Source , you need to start the migration Job which will start data Gathering Process from the Source . By default , every 4 hours this job runs . After the data Gathering is complete , you Create Migration Jobs ( I will cover a separate Post for types of Data Migration ) . After that you have migrated the data , you can stop gathering data from the source site . As an Optional Step , you can delete the Migration Historical data from the Destination Database .
